Kato Six (°1986, BE) is a visual artist, furniture maker, educator and researcher. She works with all sorts of matter, primarily by using her hands. She is interested in the act of making - gestures, repetitions, time, what materials do to us, the limits of matter and the relationship to nature and landscape. From the everyday and beyond the act of habit, she generates a sensitivity towards the things around us. Her artistic practice is based in Brussels and she works as a tutor in the sculpture department of PXL MAD School of Arts in Hasselt.
