Curling Ground is a public sculpture for the town square of Zevergem / De Pinte. The region’s clay-rich soil and historical connection to brick production forms the base of a permanent installation. The installation features three freestanding brick structures that reference traditional masonry techniques for building arches. These brick elements are complemented by curved metal components, whose soft purple hue evokes associations with playground equipment.
